It is the one day of the year that almost everything closes, including retailers that are permitted to open on other holidays. Shopping malls, tourist attractions and grocery stores are all closed on Christmas Day. Some restaurants and cafes may open with reduced hours. Some services like pharmacies, convenience stores and gas stations are open as well.
